Island Players Win Tournament Awards

The four island teams participated this past weekend in the East Coast Ice Jam tournament in Halifax
which is the largest tournament in Atlantic Canada featuring 27 of 28 Major Bantam teams from the
 4 Atlantic Provinces.

 

3 of the 4 island teams moved on to the playoff rounds with 3 players winning individual tournament
awards. Cole Larkin (2nd Team All Star) and Jack Campbell (Top 2003 Born Player) of the Eastern
Express
and Chad Arsenault (Top Goaltender) of the Prince County Warriors received the individual
hardware. These players lead their teams to solid showings in the prestigious tournament:

 

Larkin continued his strong defensive play and chipped in with 3 points which was amongst the
leaders for defencemen.
  Campbell lead all 2003 born players in round robin scoring with 5 points in
3 games.  
Arsenault lead the Warriors to the #1 seed after round robin posting a 2-0 record with a
0.48 GAA.
